Achille Navarro (1921–1944)

Achille Navarro was born in Venice on July 19, 1921. Together with his mother Judith Rita Aboaf and his sisters Lina and Amalia, he managed to escape the roundups of 5/6 December 1943, but on May 5, 1944 the whole family was arrested at home in Cannaregio 1215.

After a period in the prison of S. Maria Maggiore,

Achille Navarro, together with his family, was transferred to the camp of Fossoli and then to Auschwitz, where he died on an unknown date.

A stumbling stone laid on 20 January 2017 in Cannaregio 1215 was dedicated to him, close to those in memory of his mother Judith, sisters Amalia and Lina, and aunt Regina.
