Il presente lavoro presenta una nuova edizione, corredata da un commento di carattere epigrafico e storiografico, del decreto di alleanza tra Atene e Tebe della prima metà del quarto secolo a.C. Nonostante il testo presenti parecchie criticità, stante il suo stato frammentario, l'esame paleografico permette di suggerire nuove integrazioni (ll. 3, 11, 14, 15-19). Se ne conlcude che si trattava del decreto di adesione al sinedrio degli alleati ateniesi da parte di Tebe; tale decreto si data in un momento non precisabile del 378 a.C.

- Struttura del testo: prosa epigrafica.
- Impaginazione: Presumibilmente stoichedon di 35 lettere. Ductus regolare. Il lapicida ha inciso le lettere senza cura: Λ al posto di Α, I I al posto di Η; l'Ε non presenta la linetta intermedia, il Μ è rappresentato da due linee verticali, la cui estremità alta è lievemente inclinata verso l'interno. il Σ è rappresentato da due linee orizzontali, la cui estremità sinistra è lievemente inclinata verso l'interno. Secondo Burnett, p. 4, ciò dipende dal fatto che le parti non incise delle lettere erano originariamente dipinte.
